The company Liquid Image is set to release a rather interesting device apparatus that not only protects your eyes in semi-deep (or shallow) waters, but gives you the option of taking a snap as well. Starting at roughly $100, the “digital camera mask” comes in two tech flavors, 3.1 megapixels or 5. Embedded LEDs that alert you when the camera’s ready to snap and incredibly difficult-to-see crosshairs framing the picture may touch off a unique sporty photog niche.

Too bad the operational levels of use cap at roughly 15 feet which make the device futile if you’d like to capture something other than goldfish or shark gnawing your leg. Although, a MicroSD slot sounds promising.

Timing, poor taste, or just inciting more violence in the Gaza Strip, Jihad on You! is a website that allows users to vent daily frustrations by issuing a “jihad” against things that annoy them. A notification is sent to the infidel of your choosing acknowledging that a “Holy War” has been declared against them, for example’s sake, let’s say Justin Timberlake. Users can both rate and comment on current and high-rated jihads.

Although one wonders if a borderline defamatory site dedicated to satirical jihads would have much of an impact on our perception of Islam and the notion of jihad, which technically means an internal struggle (such as an addiction to alcohol or tobacco). Site’s pretty to look at though…

Cracked has a fantastically absurd post counting down the top 9 Manliest Names in the World. Meet #8, Powers Boothe:

The Name:
A strong, solid name. The first name especially leaves the reader wondering, “What kind of powers? Mind control? Flight? Laser-beam eyes? It’s laser-beam eyes, isn’t it?”The last name admittedly leaves a little to be desired, especially with the extra “e”, but the whole thing has a certain poetry to it as it rolls off the tongue and kicks you in the face.

The Man:
Boothe is a respected stage and screen actor, with over 30 years and an Emmy Award to his manly name. You might have seen him in the violence and expletive-filled movie Sin City or the expletive and violence-filled HBO show Deadwood.

Does He Live Up to It?
While acting isn’t always considered the manliest of pastimes, Boothe is known for playing vicious bastards. Also, he did have pretty big balls to actually accept his Emmy, which came during the 1980 Screen Actors Guild strike. There was a very real chance that by accepting the award he could have killed his career, which he acknowledged in his acceptance speech: “This may be either the bravest moment of my career or the dumbest.” Most manly acts tend to be descibed in both those ways.

Not to mention he ROCKS a mustache like few can. A quick survey of the CRACKED offices found that mustaches are far and away the most manly of facial hair.

The Only Way It Could Have Been Manlier:
Superpowers Boothe.

Read the original post and a hilarious response towards the bottom of the page.

Okay, I’m tired of beating around the bush. I’m a beautiful
(spectacularly beautiful) 25 year old girl. I’m articulate and classy.
I’m not from New York. I’m looking to get married to a guy who makes at least half a million a year. I know how that sounds, but keep in mind that a million a year is middle class in New York City, so I don’t think I’m overreaching at all.

Are there any guys who make 500K or more on this board? Any wives? Could you send me some tips? I dated a business man who makes average around 200 - 250. But that’s where I seem to hit a roadblock. 250,000 won’t get me to central park west. I know a woman in my yoga class who was married to an investment banker and lives in Tribeca, and she’s not as pretty as I am, nor is she a great genius. So what is she doing right? How do I get to her level?

For the uninformed, Greece Officials have been battling a a fire that’s lasted for nearly 5 days now, thanks in part to supposed arson that’s left more than 60 people dead. The BBC always posts lovely pictures and has a few dedicated to such a horrific crime. Somber look, indeed.

For those who’ve come in contact with the Company Crocs

you’ll realize that those terrible eye sores are not only comfortable but practical (who am I kidding?). Boing Boing Gadgets had a post on this Daily Mail Article that reported on Crocs new product that tends to shy away from the company’s main line of shoe wear by promoting a self-absorbing shirt. While the shoes may feel like rubber (as well as the market damning shirt), it isn’t. The material used is made of a manufactured soft foam resin called Crosslite.

Shirts, shorts, trousers and skirts are among garments that will be included in the range - which at first will be aimed at men and children, but is later expected to expand to include women’s fashion.

The resin will be blended with natural fibres such as cotton to create a breathable, sweat-resistant substance for outdoor activity.

A Crocs spokeswoman said: “We’ve been able to take the same material and spin it into a yarn so it has all the properties of the shoes - light, durable and breathable.”

Perhaps you’ve heard of this renegade citizen patriot who trolls around New York Streets looking for gross infractions of the law. The twist is, it’s not those who live there, but those who protect and serve there. The NY Traffic Police. I’ve seen a few clips and a couple of interviews with this rogue vigilante and I must say, he certainly has quite the *ahem* courage…to take on the law. Basically, the videos are a compendium of foul mouthed accusations (which for the most part seem to be true). Personally, I’m just surprised an officer hasn’t used the ol’ “agitating an officer on the job” tactic. A Video and Link to an MSNBC interview after the jump.
