tweeting too hard

tth

Fresh new site popped in earlier today, created by a friend of mine (as well as three others), TTH gives self serving tweetaholics their just deserts (or comeupins) as users submit and vote on their favorite narcissitic tweets from all around the net. Just enter a twitter username and search for a specific tweet or go one step further and submit a permalink. Either way, get ready for a flame war. Twitterverse, you’ve been warned, someone’s watching ;4)

sprint touts palm pre, 4g network in cool commercial

I’ve been rather interested in palm’s last stand against bankruptcy, the palm pre, too bad I wasn’t really able to have a look at the phone until the end of this advertisement, and I must say, this sweet live action infographic commercial really has my interest peaked, so much so that I play it routinely (if I don’t catch it on tele first)

choco whiffing

My favorite Brit news source, The Telegraph, reports on a new invention created by the ivory tower elites of Harvard. LeWhif is an apparatus that utilizes aerosolized chocolate powder that when converted to vapor is just, just euphoric. The future is here according to LeWhif cronie (jk) Tom Hadfield:

“But chocolate is only the beginning - we’re going to be unveiling more different types of food in the future.

“Two Michelin-starred chef Thierry Marx is even working with us to develop meals, such as a mint-flavoured inhaler to go alongside his lamb dishes.

“Eventually we could be having three course meals this way.”

zipper dress

zipperdressSeen on boingboing this rather interesting dress (read: collection of 120 metal zippers) is tre chic, unless all 120 zippers are stuck. Practical? maybe…at least it doesn’t make me yearn for something edible like that sexy crocheted hamburger dress.

tweenbot

tweenbot
This is simply precious, I was struck by Kacie Kinzer’s (of the Tisch School of the Arts @ NYU) social experiment involving a bot that relies heavily if not solely on human interaction.

“Tweenbots are human-dependent robots that navigate the city with the help of pedestrians they encounter. Rolling at a constant speed, in a straight line, Tweenbots have a destination displayed on a flag, and rely on people they meet to read this flag and to aim them in the right direction to reach their goal.”
